Why is it important to do this sport activity and what is special in this sport activity?

It's important to play tennis because it's develops coordination, fitness, Improves Responsiveness, agility and tactical thinking.
The game Encourages Cooperation (in tennis doubles) and teaches how to lose and win with respect.


This sport is very unique because, first of all In other sports activities you're (mostly) competing against yourself and time. But in tennis you actually playing against an opponent and not against time and yourself.

Second, Tennis has the most unique scoring system in the world, because of the 15,30, 40, Deuce system, wich by the way comes from a clock dial.

Athletes, Champions and World Records

There are many athletes who became champions like Serena Williams, Rafael Nadal, Maria Sharapova, Roger Federer and much more but we chose to talk about Novak Djokovic and Serena Williams.

Novak:

Novak won eight Grand Slam singles titles and has held the No. 1 spot in the ATP rankings for a total of 139 weeks.

He won the ATP World Tour Finals in 2008, 2012, 2013 and 2014 and was on the Serbian team which won the 2010 Davis Cup. He won at the Australian Open 2015 and became No.1 in the ATP Rankings.

In Short he has won 21 Masters 1000 series titles, breaking a single-season record with five titles in 2011.

Serena

Is an American professional tennis player who is currently ranked No.1 in women's singles tennis. The WTA has ranked her World No. 1 in singles on six separate occasions.

On February 18, 2013, Serena became the oldest world no. 1 player in WTA's history.

She won in many tournaments and one of them is Australian Open 2015.


Novak, Serena and other professional players became professionals because they have the passion and the motivation to keep playing and it inspired us.
