Beginning January 7th, families must complete all online forms.
The 2019-20 school year will not open in Final Forms until January 7th, 2019. Any forms completed prior to January 7th will result in registration for the 2018-19 school year.
Instructions for completing these forms can be found on our website under the registration tab at www.sycamoreschools.org/kg
Once all forms are complete, follow the instructions to make an appointment online.
*All appointments are made electronically.
*If Final Forms is not complete, your appointment will not be accepted.
Lottery deadline for full day kindergarten is February 15th, 2019.
*Full day selection is NOT based on your appointment date.
*All students registered by the deadline will be entered in to the lottery if you choose.
A $100 deposit is required at your registration appointment
to be included in the full day lottery.
Family Volunteer Day Matthew 25 Ministries!
Looking for family-friendly, fun and FREE ideas to keep busy over winter break?
Join us for the Symmes PTO Family Volunteer Day!
Where: Matthew 25 Ministries

When: Thursday, January 3rd, 2019
10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Come for an hour or stay the whole time!
How: Follow the link below to the SignUp Genius.
Details: M25M provides basic necessities, supplies and disaster relief worldwide. They rescue materials that would otherwise be discarded, and re-route them to those in need. M25M needs a constant flow of volunteers to help organize supplies and ready them for distribution.
Kids of all ages are welcome (not just Symmes students), but please see the guidelines below. Extra adults are needed, so feel free to invite grandparents, babysitters, neighbors, etc.!
VOLUNTEERS: All children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
· Children under 8 yrs old – 1 adult for every child
· Children 9-11 yrs – 1 adult for every 2 children
· Children 12-16 yrs – 1 adult for every 3 children
· 16 yrs and over – may work alone, but groups of 5 or more require an adult.
News from our Nurse for 3rd Grade Families
Attention Third Grade Parents,
Your children are being taught Basic Aid Training (BAT) by our school nurse, Julie Ferron on the week of January 14th. This is a Red Cross course designed for third graders. Your children will learn the following:
1. Steps for an Emergency Action Plan.
2. How to treat for shock.
3. Hands only CPR
4. Where to call in an emergency.
5. What to do if someone chokes.
6. How to treat wounds.
7. How to treat animal bites.
8. What to do if someone falls.
9. Poison and water safety
The boys and girls will be asked to share their knowledge with you. Please, encourage them to teach you what they know.
