ADVISING ORACLE
March 2022
Advisor Spotlight
Feeling Lucky!
For the first time in quite a while, the Terry College of Business has a full slate of academic advisors across all of our majors! Since March is the month for St. Patrick's Day, it seems appropriate to say how lucky we feel to have a fantastic and complete team for undergraduate advising. Knocking on wood it stays that way, at least for a little while!
Here's to Jacob, Matthew, Patty, Emily, Jill, Gabriella, Krystal, Amanda, Heather, Erica, Natassja, Jason, Erik, Zach, Courtney, Deede and Rachael! A big thanks also to those who are not technically advisors, but who are an integral part of the team - Christie, Holly, David, Jessie, Nathan, Michele and Tracy! We also feel very lucky to work closely with the wonderful intended-business academic advisors in the Honors College and the Exploratory Center!
"We are all a great deal luckier that we realize; we usually get what we want – or near enough." - Roald Dahl
We are accepting nominations for the 2021-2022 UGA Transfer Advocate Award!
This award, which originated in the Franklin College Office of Transfer Academic Services as the Transfer Champion Award, is in its inaugural year as a university-wide award open to advisors in all units.
The Office of Transfer Services is providing an opportunity for students to spotlight an advisor or staff member who has been instrumental in their transition to UGA. Transfer students will nominate advocates who have worked to make students’ transfers to UGA smooth.
Please share the survey with your students: 2021-2022 UGA Transfer Advocate Award Survey
We will have a total of three winners. The first-place winner will receive $100. The second and third place winners will receive UGA swag.
The survey will be open until April 8th. Winners will be announced at the AACC 2022 Spring Workshop which will be held on May 3rd.
Please email lscarter@uga.edu with any questions.

Post-Withdrawal Deadline Happy Hour
