WHS ATHLETICS
This school year, all Fayette County high schools have a card & mobile payment only ticketing policy at all athletic events. Fans are able to purchase tickets online through Whitewater's GoFan page or by presenting a debit/credit card (or mobile payment option) at the ticket gate. The new ticket gate setup promotes social distancing while limiting person-to-person contact and the physical exchange of cash.
Fans are encouraged to purchase their tickets online prior to reaching the facility.
Whitewater introduces Sources of Strength
Sources of Strength is a strength-based, comprehensive wellness program that focuses on suicide prevention but impacts other issues such as substance abuse and violence. The program is based on a relational connections model that uses teams of Peer Leaders mentored by Adult Advisors to change peer social norms about help-seeking and encourages students to individually assess and develop strengths in their life.

In an effort to improve student engagement and accountability, expectations for students have been more clearly defined. These expectations include assignment deadlines, attendance, and required Zoom sessions. Please read the attached document
In the virtual setting, student success is greatly improved when parents regularly check on the student's progress in all courses. This can be done through the Schoology parent portal and the Edgenuity parent portal. If you have questions on how to access these portals, please contact the Fayette Virtual Academy by email at fvasupport@mail.fcboe.org.
High school counselors are working on scheduling through Friday, Jan 15. Grades are being finalized today, and course failures in the fall semester may lead to schedule changes for the spring semester.
