FUNDRAISER!

Thank you to EVERYONE who has been able to donate to our fundraiser. We earned pajama and stuffed animal day this Monday October 17th!

All the money raised will go directly to Jackson students! We are very close to our $30,000 goal! We can do this!

Thanks again and let me know if you have any questions!

Harvest Celebration!

We will be having our Kindergarten "Harvest Day Celebration" on Friday October 28th. This is not a "Halloween Party" as we have students who do not celebrate this holiday. With that being said, students should NOT dress up on this day.

We will be doing a variety of fun "harvest" activities throughout the day at Jackson. This is also a day where we do not need volunteers. Let me know if you have any questions.

Seesaw

I hope you are all connected to your child's Seesaw account. I have posted many pictures and students have begun posting their work. Mrs. Flatness also posted a video of our class singing the Jackson School Song. It will be featured on our morning announcements soon! You should be able to find the video under their music class or messages.

What did we learn this week?

Reading: We talked about fiction vs non-fiction stories.

Writing: I continued modeling the the writing process. (Think, Draw, Say and Test, Clap and Count, Write) We are learning that a sentence has a "who" and "did what," We are also learning about capital letters at beginning of sentences and a period at the end of a sentence.

Phonics:. This week we continued to practice our "zoo friends" favorite sounds and letters. We chanted the "abc chart" and continued to practice rhyming words. We also began to listen for beginning and ending sounds in words.

Math: We continued working with our numbers 0-5 and recognizing them in different ways. We also continued our number writing as well.
