Fall Meeting Recap

Hello Fall!

Thank you to everyone who made it out to our Welcome Back Women's Club of Broadmoor meeting on September 9th. We had a great turn out and loved seeing our current members and meeting new members. We discussed all of our upcoming events and heard many fabulous ideas for the future. We are so excited for the year ahead! Please join us each month for a fun night with great ladies!

Thank you to Michele Kovalchek for donating $100 to The Women's Club of Broadmoor! She sold a home in Broadmoor and shared her success with our club. We are so grateful and appreciative for donations that will help us continue to provide service to our wonderful community!

9/9/14 - WCOB Meeting Minutes (in Chews Fire House Hall)

  • 25 active members at the end May - doubled 49 members as of today - Goal is 110 members by May 2015

  • October 24 - Halloween parade
  • Next meeting - meet & mingle with mayor

  • Halloween parade - Friday 5:15 at Roberts and Upton on Oct 24th
  • Halloween Parade - Bake goods for kids for cancer at Halloween parade- looking for donations or help selling
  • Donations of candy - candy to Angela 813 Wingate Dr (by Oct 17)
  • Goods for kids for cancer - Erica 779 Wyngate (Oct 22-23)
  • Adopt a family - through Chews - need donations
  • November 12 -meeting (the store house ) Food pantry donation
  • Gabriel Davies tavern - 4 woman needed to decorate - all natural
  • Joanne- call in reference in Gabriel taverns
  • Dec 21st - Santas Ride- need cookie donations
  • Ideas: post Santa’s route and text location, trim trees for Santa
  • Ronald McDonald house - They take in mothers and family when a child is ill. They have family dinners and activities every night at 5:30. Allow 8-10 people at a time. Can contribute by making food and desserts. Can also plan activities. Hopefully will get 2 dates. Located in Camden next to cooper. Typically 21 families. Members of Broadmoor can only participate.

  • May - meeting will be in fire hall - scholarships given
