Gustavo Castillo Named Niswonger Scholar
Congratulations to Gustavo Castillo for being accepted into the Niswonger Scholars Program. With this scholarship, Gustavo will attend the college of his choice and return to Hamblen County to fulfill his dream of working in healthcare. We are so proud of you, Gustavo!
Be The Change Donation Drive
Students also participated in a donation drive for The Daily Bread in Morristown. The Daily Bread provides hot meals daily to members of our community. Students brought in disposable paper products that were needed. Students also donated their spare change to this worthy non-profit organization. Our first, second, and third lunches ran a friendly competition to see who could donate the most. We are pleased to say that The Daily Bread received paper products and $800! With this money, which will be enough to feed 228 people in our community. You read that correctly; MHHSE students donated enough spare change to feed hundreds of people! While there are many things we hope students learn while they are at MHHSE, we hope that one thing they learn is the various ways to be kind.
