INTERFACES IN AN OPERATING SYSTEM

Operating Systems:
Operating systems are software that support basic functions in a computer. Hardware and software (computer platforms) need and have operating systems. Some operating systems include of Linux and Windows.
The Types Of Interfaces used by an Operating System:
There are three different types of interfaces that are used by operating systems. The first one is called text user interface (shown in the first image) ; it is a terminal that uses the curses library to show source files, assembly outputs, the program registers and different commands in the text windows.
The second interface is called graphical user interface (shown in the second image) ; and is an interface that allows interaction with electronic devices through graphical icons and visual indicators.
The last user interface is called command line interface (shown in the third image) ; it is an interface to a computer's operating system or an application in which the user responds by typing in a command on a specified line.
