The Oxford Update
Oxford Elementary School
What's Happening in the Fall?
Here are the things that I can tell you. District leadership and building administration have been working on gathering all of the information we will need to start making plans for the fall. We are meeting weekly and will continue to meet throughout the summer with teacher leaders to formulate the best plan for our students and staff. Superintendent Rick Colpitts is hopeful to have this plan to families by August 1st.
As we make these decisions about what school will look like in the fall, we will also be reaching out to families to gather information from you. We will be reviewing the guidance from the CDC, State government leaders, and the Maine Department of Education. There are other countries that have reopened schools and we will also look to their data to see what we can learn for our own reopening.
This is an unsettling time and I know that the unknown of what school will be in the fall is stressful for our students and their families. We will do our very best to get you all the information you want and need as soon as we have it.
What about step-up day?
What about supply lists for next year?
When do we have to return our school issued devices?
