Last month I stepped up or baby steps to good health by reducing sugar in our diet and increasing our exposure to nourishing whole foods. I love nourishing my body with essential oils. When I can use essential oils to clean my house, take care of my skin or support the systems in my body I am often able to avoid a synthetic chemicals that might increase my toxic load. I am looking to avoid hormone disruptors, chemicals linked to cancer, and medications that tax my system. Essential oils help to lift my mood, relax the stresses, and I enjoy the aroma. I encourage you to learn to use your oils. Take the time to make those home made cleaners, skin care products and diffuse your oils. It takes a little extra time to do this and it is a bit of trial and error. We haven't grown up with these habits, but I think it will be worth the effort. I hope you all have a great start to summer. Summer is a great time to slow things down a bit, nourish your mind with a good book. Nourish your soul with some outdoor activities, some prayer and a Bible Study.
