Mission Statement
Bush Elementary: A nurturing and inclusive community where students become empowered citizens and life-long learners. Every student, every day!
Foundations: What is a positive interaction?
From Foundations (Module C), p. 47:
"When a student is engaged in positive behavior and you pay attention to the student, you've interacted positively. When a student is on task and you verbally praise the student, give a thumbs-up, ask 'Do you have any questions?' or make eye contact, you've interacted positively with the student—not because you were positive, but because the student was engaged in positive behavior. When a student is walking down the hall and you ask, 'How was the basketball game?' or you greet the student, you've interacted positively. The student was following expectations and behaving responsibly and you gave him attention. The attention does not have to be praise—noncontingent attention can be a positive interaction too. So any time the student is not misbehaving and you give attention, the interaction is positive."

IMPACT Event
Zoning Information
The District is in the process of looking at zoning options for elementary and intermediate schools in the TWHS and College Park feeder patterns. This work is done through the Attendance Boundary Committee and is needed, in part, to address overcrowding at Ride Elementary. Each elementary and intermediate school in both feeder systems is represented on the committee by the principal and a parent representative. The Committee has brought forward three scenarios for public comment. These scenarios each impact Bush to a varying degree. The scenarios are posted on the Conroe ISD Attendance Boundary Process web site: https://www.conroeisd.net/about/attendance-boundary-process/. In addition, the web site has information on community presentations and a mechanism for provide comments to the Committee related to the scenarios. Junior high and high schools in the TWHS and College Park feeder systems are not included in this process.
The next round of community presentations are next week. Please see the Week at a Glance dates for days, times, and locations of these community presentations.
ACTION REQUIRED: Computer Replacement
The Technology Department is in the process of replacing teacher computers and older student computers. Bush has been selected for the first phase of the replacement process. All teacher computers will be replaced. You must remove all of your files from your desktop. They should be stored on your U: drive. Any files left on your computer when it is replaced will be lost.
We do not have the exact date for computer replacement, but we will be notified in advance.
