Your physical wellness is a huge part of self-care. Get outside and enjoy the sunshine. Here are some ideas to have fun in the outdoors as a family while remembering to social distance.
- Chalk a walk – Take a walk and write messages or draw pictures of kindness using sidewalk chalk to encourage your neighbors.
- Puffy Sidewalk Paint Recipe- Fun idea for all! : https://www.thebestideasforkids.com/puffy-sidewalk-paint/
- Take a nature walk on a new trail – slow down and enjoy nature. Notice the birds, the trees and the other treasures in the outdoors that we don’t always take time to see on our walks.
- Go on a family bike ride - Start slow and increase your distance each time you go for a ride.
Think it Through Thursday
Let’s challenge your mind and learn about yourself and your family. Our Think Through it will is based on The 7 Habits of Highly effective Families (Stephen Covey) and The 7 Habits of Happy Kids (Sean Covey)
- Habit 1- Be Proactive - Be encouraged to be RESPONSIBLE for YOUR behaviors, choices and responses. Discuss how each member of the family contributes to the success of the family. How are you most proactive? When and how are you most reactive? How can we improve?
