Veneration, the way members of the church paid their respects, was accepted and allowed in Rome.

In the trinity, the Father and the Son were considered the same being.
The Eastern Orthodox Church
Clergy
In the Eastern Orthodox church, preists were granted the right to marry, and held their services in Greek.
Veneration
Originally, veneration was prohibited in the church, but was later on accepted.
Trinity
In the East, the Father was considered supreme out of the trinity.
