Nazareth Catholic Community
March 20, 2016 ~ Palm Sunday
Chaplain's Chatter: Thoughts, Reflections and Musings from the Catholic Chaplain
TODAY, Sunday, March 20th, is Palm Sunday; the day when Christians celebrate the triumphant entry of Jesus into Jerusalem the week before his death and resurrection. Palm Sunday, also referred to as "Passion Sunday," marks the beginning of Holy Week which concludes on Easter (please find the Holy Week service schedule below).
Palm Sunday is a day of hope! It is a day to recall and recommit ourselves to bringing the Gospel message of hope and peace into our world through living lives of service and advocating for justice and peace.
Please join us this Sunday at 7:00PM for our Palm Sunday Mass!
Peace,
~ Jamie

Easter Eucharistic Adoration and Compline
THIS Thursday, 3/31, from 9:00PM to 10:00PM in Linehan Chapel
Come spend some time away in prayer…
Eucharistic Adoration is simply spending quiet time in the presence of Jesus. When Jesus was suffering His agony in the garden, He asked his apostles, “Could you not spend one hour with Me?” Jesus’ lamentation touches our hearts, and we respond, “We can.” Adoration is for anyone who wishes to come.
Compline is an evening prayer that settles the mind and heart and serves as a peaceful connection between one day or week and the next. You do not have to be Catholic too participate and there are no special requirements.
Come again or for the first time!
Any questions, please call Sr. Donna- 585-733-4422 or email her at ddelsanto@ssjrochester.org.
