Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we move forward through another closure of schools. As cases continue to rise in Cecil County, our local data and our ability to staff schools became of increasing concern, which prompted our decision yesterday. We want our students learning in our classrooms, but we can only do that if we can do so in a manner that is safe. Additional county school systems also made the decision to close within the last 48 hours, adding to a number of others who had already done so. We are certainly not alone in these challenges.
A meal distribution will be held on Wednesday, November 18, at all schools from 10:00 AM - 12 PM which will include enough meals to last through the Thanksgiving holiday. Another distribution will be held on Wednesday, December 2nd. The "meals on the go" buses will also go out to their neighborhood stops on these dates as well.
Even though our buildings are closed, instruction will continue virtually. Your child’s teacher(s) and school administration will inform you of any class or school-specific information. We will continue to make you aware of any new countywide information as it becomes available.
Thank you for your continued support.
