As you may know, we are unable to host an onsite Grand Adult Day due to Covid-19. We still want to recognize those special people in our lives and are working on a week-long, virtual celebration to take place in April. Please print and complete the Grand Adult Day RSVP and return it to the school office by March 12th. If you need a printed copy, please let your child’s homeroom teacher know. Prepare yourself this Lenten Season by spending an hour with Jesus in Adoration! We are extending Adoration for 24 hours from 9am on Thursdays to 8am on Fridays for the six Thursdays of Lent (February 18 & 25, March 4, 11, 18, & 25). We are requesting adorers to commit to one hour of prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. Specifically, we are needing adorers during the overnight hours from midnight-8:00am preferably for all six nights, but not required, and would like two adorers per hour. Indiana's Tax Credit Scholarship program was created in 2009 as a way to give families who meet income guidelines an opportunity to send their child to a participating private school. Through the generosity of Hoosiers, private donations are given as scholarships so students may attend a private school that may not have been an option to them otherwise.

The Institute for Quality Education (IQE) is the largest of six state-approved scholarship granting organizations (SGOs) in Indiana. Since the beginning of this program, SGOs have awarded over $45 million dollars in scholarships to more than 35,000 Hoosier students in partnership with more than 300 private schools statewide.

Without these important Tax Credit Scholarships, we have several families that would be unable to choose Holy Name for their children's education. This year we were blessed with the ability to award over $23,000 in scholarships to our Holy Name students. This is impossible without generous donors like you!

Individuals or businesses that donate to the SGO receive tax credits equal to 50% of the amount donated. Donate before the end of 2020 to receive this credit!

Holy Name students and parishioners are invited to join the St. Jude Track & Field Team again this year. Track & Field is open to all boys and girls in grades 3 through 8.

Registration for Track & Field is available on the CYO website. You will have to do a dual school registration. The St. Jude code is 189SJS-IN.

This week's My Story, R Family features Kevin R'09 and Audrey R'10 Banich. Although both are graduates, Kevin and Audrey were not high school sweethearts. It wasn't until they were not in school together that they started building their faith, friendship and now family together. For Kevin and Audrey, Roncalli is like home and a place they want to be. We are blessed to have Kevin, Audrey and their son James in the Roncalli family.

Indy Junior Royals

We are in a transition. Over the past month, we have seen Roncalli High School change its nickname from Rebels to Royals. This move was much anticipated and is to be more inline with the mission statement of Roncalli High School. Indy Junior Rebels Lacrosse has been the feeder program to Roncalli HS Lacrosse, Perry Meridian HS Lacrosse, and Southport HS Lacrosse for the past 8 years. Our identity as the only YOUTH Lacrosse organization in Southern Marion County has us embracing the future players for the entire Southside of Indianapolis. In 2021, Indy Junior Royals Lacrosse will compete in the IYLA as a division of The Indy Junior Rebels Lacrosse program.

The program is open to any 3rd - 8th Grade Boy or Girl that dares to be different.

Tired of watching your child play video games all day?

If you answered YES to any of these questions, Junior Lacrosse could be the answer for you.

All South Deanery children are eligible to register and play. If your child lives on the Southside, Southwest, and/or Southeast side of Indianapolis, and we are the closest Junior Lacrosse program to your home, they are also eligible to play for our organization.

Teams are based upon the following US Lacrosse approved age brackets:

(8th Graders that are older will be in the U14 division as they can't play HS yet.)

Junior Royals teams will play other Junior Lacrosse programs throughout Central Indiana.

These teams are coached by Adults, play competitive games against other Junior Lacrosse Teams, officiated by real Referees, and each player receives a cool uniform to keep. (Girls and Boys.)

We have equipment for 1st year players to use for the season.
