Conserving Household Water

Grade 9 Geography

Ecological footprint

We as humans are always making large ecological footprints. For those of you who do not know what that is, an ecological footprint is a negative mark we make on the earth. For example, cutting down trees, littering, pollution, etc. As important as it is to take care of those factors, in this case we are talking about conserving household water, so let's talk about some ways we can reduce our ecological footprint by conserving household water,

1. Turn off the tap while brushing your teeth/washing your face

2. Take less time in the shower

3. Only wash full loads

Those are three ways to reduce your ecological footprint when it comes to conserving water.

Benefits to the environment

By conserving water, you are reducing your ecological footprint as well as having a positive impact on the environment. Water is life itself, without water we (as in humans, animals, flora, and fauna) are nothing. Water is beneficial in many ways. For example, we use it to shower, brush our teeth, wash our face, drink it, swim in it, etc. Animals drink the water, sea animals, well, they live in water, and plants (such as flowers, trees, shrubs, etc) need water to live. Water is very beneficial for the environment, so conserve, conserve, conserve!

Future of horror

If we do not conserve water now, the future, well you can forget about the future, as said before, water is life. 70% of the planet is made of water, and ironically enough places do not have enough safe and clean water to drink, or bathe in, so do not take water for granted, it is a precious natural resource. So what will happen to the earth without any water? You do the math.
How California's Drought Affects The World

California's drought

You see? Without enough water California cannot grow that many crops, which means we won't get much food. It's not just crops, it's meat, like for example, cows. It is also said that California has only a year supply of water left! Only a YEAR. Now you see why not only you, but us as human beings need to conserve water? We need to save the planet because if it goes down, we go down with it.
