CAPITAL:
The capital of the Dominican Republic is Santo Domingo.,
GEOGRAPHY:
Pico Duarte is the tallest mountain in the Caribbean islands with more than 10,000 feet! Lake Enriquillo is the largest lake and the Dominican Republic has a coastline of about 800 miles!
LOCATION:
The Dominican Republic is an island next to another country called Haiti.
MAJOR CITIES:
Some Major Cities are: Santo Domingo, Punta Cana, Puerto Plaza, La Romana and Sousa.
HISTORICAL SITES AND LANDMARKS:
The Dominican Republic has a rich history and many buildings that date back to the 1500's! some of these historical sites are: Alcazar De Colon, which is the oldest Viceregal residence in America, Mueso De Las Casas Reales, which is a cultural monument, Ruinas Del Hospital San Nicolas De Bari, which was one of the first hospitals, and El Faro A Colon, which is an old lighthouse.
ECONOMY:
The currency the Dominican Republic uses is called the Dominican Peso. 1 peso = .022$ is U.S money.
LANGUAGE:
The official language of the Dominican Republic is Spanish. other languages spoken here are English and Haitan.
FOOD:
For breakfast: plantain, eggs, cheese, and coffee.
For lunch: rice, beans, meat, and vegetables.
For dinner: fried eggs, cheese, salami, meat, and bread.

3 Important people are: Oscar De La Renta. he was a famous designer who was born is 1932. Nicholas De Ovando. He was a conquistador. And Diego Colombus. He was the son of Christopher Colombus.

The Tainos are still alive but there are not very many left.

Nickel, bauxite, gold and silver.
