3rd Quarter Kinder Kollege
In order to support you and your child, the Kindergarten teachers at McClure have designed this opportunity to give you hands-on practice on how to work with your child at home. During these evenings, you will be informed about upcoming skills that your child will be learning during that quarter. Then, the Kinder teachers will teach YOU how to practice these skills with your child, then YOU will practice with your child while we are there to support and answer questions you may have. This format allows you to get hands-on experience to practice “in the moment” because your Kindergarten child will be at your side during your learning experience. It promises to be a fun and worthwhile time for you and your child.

When making decisions about closing school, a number of factors come into play, including the safety of travel but also the safety of students who will be home during the day.
Should school be canceled, we will:
- Send a text, email, and/or phone call via SchoolMessenger
- Update the district social media pages
- Update the district website
- Contact our local media partners
To sign up for text message updates, text Y to 67587. To learn more about school delays and closures, please review our How We Communicate With Families document.

Updated Traffic Signs
The City of Topeka has updated the signs on Chelsea Dr. from SW 27 Ter. to SW 25th St to support our school in keeping students and families safe during arrival and dismissal. The signs now read 'No Stopping, Standing, Parking on School Days from 8am-4pm.'
Just before the recent winter break, the City of Topeka met with the McClure Administration Team to discuss how we can continue to ensure your children are safe during the daily arrival and dismissal process. We envision that in the coming weeks, there will be more changes to the signage leading up to and on the Mcclure Elementary School campus. As the new signs are installed, the school will send more information offering you forewarning.
We thank you for your support in keeping the students safe.
Little Stars Daycare
Looking for daycare for your two-year-old? The Little Stars Daycare at Shaner Early Learning Academy has openings beginning in January.
