Library Tip: Britannica Image Quest

Do your students need images for projects and presentations? Check out Britannica Image Quest, one of NEISD Library's Digital Resources. This database contains millions of rights-cleared images, complete with citations, and they're easy to download and cite. All of the photos under "Recent Events" are from Britannica Image Quest.

Classes Visiting the Library in November/December

  • Ms. Quintanilla and Ms. Christian's English III classes explored online editorials using the ProQuest database.
  • Mr. Thompson's Professional Communications classes came to the library to create informational presentations.
  • Ms. Perez, Ms. Stigger, and Ms. Villanueva-Delaney's classes completed Read 180 and Scholastic Reading Counts! testing using library desktops, laptops, Chromebooks, and headsets.
  • Ms. Melero's AP English III classes typed and printed essays for an Editorial Project.
  • Ms. Christian's English III classes accessed Google drive to type and print essays for an Editorial Project.
  • Ms. Hammack's English III G/T classes searched for images and information for a Roaring Twenties project, then created presentations.
  • Ms. Roark's English IV classes researched social issues and took digital notes.
  • Ms. Stigger's English I classes completed a writing workshop and typed expository essays.
  • Mr. Jarvis's Economics classes completed Everfi online modules using library computers.
  • Ms. Tang's Japanese classes utilized computers for Japanese practice.
  • Ms. Purcell's Professional Communications classes came to the library to create resumes and cover letters.
  • Mr. Meraz's Astronomy classes conducted research in the library.
  • Ms. Reed-Martinez's English I classes utilized Library Chromebooks to access Google drive and write essays.
  • Ms. Ji's French classes used Library laptops for a semester review with Quizlet and Kahoot.
