Principal's Message/Mesaje De Director

Estimida familias de James John,


Gracias a todos los padres, personal y patrocinadores que ayudaron a que nuestroprimero 2022/23 ¡Adopte una bicicleta en la Escuela Primaria James John fue todo un éxito! Agradecer a ustedes, gracias, gracias!

Marzo se va volando rapidamente y estos pocos días de sol que hemos tenido esta semana son un recordatorio que Spring Break se acerca. Los estudiantes no me preguntan durante la hora del almuerzo: "¿Cuándo va a dejar de llover, para que podamos salir y tener nuestro recreo?" Viendo a nuestros estudiantes con una sonrisa grande durante el recreo de almuerzo, estoy seguro que disfrutarán tener un descanso de la lluvia de esta semana!


Hablando en serio, tendremos un simulacro de encierro el miércoles 22 de marzo y mientras discutimos la importancia de la seguridad con estudiantes y por qué practicamos un simulacro de encierro, también entendemos que puede ser un momento estresante durante el día. Un amable recordatorio de los padres a sus hijos, que es un simulacro para practicar la seguridad, contribuye en gran medida a ayudar a nuestra comunidad de estudiantes a no estresarse ese día. ¡Le agradecemos de antemano!


También tenemos algunos eventos emocionantes la próxima semana.! Los bailarines de la escuela secundaria de Jefferson visitarán nuestra escuela para bailar para nuestros estudiantes el próximo jueves 23 de marzo, nuestra Celebración del Estudiante del Mes y nuestro Día del Espíritu Escolar (Día de los gemelos) es el viernes 24 de marzo.


Por último, las vacaciones de primavera serán del 27 al 31 de marzo y las actividades escolares de Sun se reanudarán el lunes 3 de abril.

Dear Families,


Thank you to all the parents, staff and sponsors who helped make our first 2022/23 Adopt-a-Bike at James John Elementary School a success! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!

Wow! March is flying by and these few sunny days we have had this week are a reminder that Spring Break is quickly approaching. I stopped hearing students asking me during lunch time, “When is it going to stop raining so we can go outside and have our recess!” Hearing students giggling and seeing students smile during lunch recess was wonderful and I am sure they have enjoyed having a break from the rain this week!


On a serious note, we will be having a Lock Down Drill Wednesday, March 22nd and while we discuss the importance of safety with students and why we practice a Lock Down Drill, we also understand it can be a stressful time during the day. A gentle reminder from parents to your child, that it is a drill to practice safety, goes a long way in helping our community of learners not be too stressed that day. We thank you!


We also have some exciting events next week! The Jefferson High School Dancers will be visiting our school to perform for our students this coming Thursday, March 23rd, our Student of the Month Celebration and our School Spirit Day (Twin Day) is on Friday, March 24th.


Lastly, Spring Break will be from March 27th - March 31st and Sun School Activities will resume Monday, April 3rd.

Plant sale/Venta de plantas

Our spring plant sale is happening now! Please check your students’ backpacks for an order form or order online at https://jamesjohn.memberhub.com/store. We have many organic vegetables and herbs as well as perennials and hanging baskets. Funds raised will contribute to our garden education.

Orders are due by April 14th and will be available at the school to pick up on May 5th, 1:30-3:30
