Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day 2016
In Celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King Day 2016, the library has pulled together a large display of books surrounding the theme of Dr. King and the Civil Right's Movement. Come in and check out some of these books and learn more about this truly inspirational American!
Many communities throughout the country celebrate Dr. King's legacy by participating in a Day of Service. RochesterCares hosts an annual day of service called King for a Day which will take place on Saturday, January 16th. This is an opportunity for volunteers of all ages to participate in a day of community service in conjunction with the City of Rochester and local universities.
