Attend Today, Achieve Tomorrow
Northwest ISD believes attendance is essential to a successful education. To accomplish the district’s vision to be the best and most sought-after school district where every student is future ready: ready for college, ready for the global workplace and ready for personal success, NISD values a partnership with parents and community members by sharing the responsibility in preparing students for what lies ahead. Research shows developing a habit of good attendance helps students excel in school and eventually in the workplace. Thank you for your continued partnership in your child’s future success.

Help Us Name the Next Elementary School
As a community member and parent in Northwest ISD, we value your opinion as we select the next name for Elementary School #18. Beginning Monday, September 18 through Friday, October 13, you will have an opportunity to help the school district by nominating a name for the district’s newest elementary school, opening in August 2018. The district’s 18th elementary school will be located north of Highway 287, east of FM 156 and south of Bonds Ranch Road in the Revolstoke subdivision, which is currently being developed. You may make a nomination by going to www.nisdtx.org/elem18, or call 817-215-0171 to request a paper form. The Board of Trustees will review the nominations as presented by the naming committee at the school board meeting in November.
Safety Procedures in Northwest ISD
The safety of our students and staff is of utmost importance in Northwest ISD. As a campus, we will practice various safety drills so that we are prepared for any possible scenario that could take place at your child’s campus. One of the emergency procedures that is used from time-to-time is the Shelter-in-Place. During this procedure, students are safe at all times, remain in the classroom and learning continues to take place as normal. The campus cannot legally explain why a Shelter-in-Place procedure is used. This is not to alarm you, but it is for legal confidentiality reasons, respect and the protection of our students or staff members. We do want to stress the fact that Shelter-in-Place is very different from a Lock-Down procedure. During a lock-down, all instruction is stopped.
If students are ever in any kind of danger, we will notify families immediately via email, phone call and website. If you ever have any questions about our safety drills and emergency procedures, please do not hesitate to contact our campus. Your children’s safety remains our top priority.
See What’s Going on in Our Communities
As a service to our families, the district provides the Community Folder for non-school groups or organizations to post information that may be of interest or a benefit to students and families. Click here to see approved flyers.
