Summer is around the corner and wanted to provide you with some quick GT updates before our school year ends.

IDEAS Showcase

Our district has rebranded our GT showcase to now be called the IDEAS Showcase. IDEAS stands for innovators, designers, engineers, artists and storytellers. Students are welcome, and highly encouraged, to post their projects to our virtual showcase by posting to our Padlet. We will also being doing grade level GT projects in May during ROAR time after STAAR testing has concluded.

GT Summer Selection Referrals

This year we are offering a second referral window with summer G/T testing for current kindergarten through 11th grade students. Students can only be tested one time per calendar year. If a student was referred and tested this school year, he/she cannot be tested again during this summer. Testing will occur on the following dates and parents must commit to bringing their child to all testing sessions.

  • Current kindergarten and 1st grade students will test on June 1, 2, and 5.
  • Current 2nd through 11th grade students will test on June 1 and 2.
