COVID Testing Update
Welcome back from Thanksgiving Break! Our community did a good job of staying safe, as the results of this week’s COVID testing showed only two positive cases. There were a total of 982 tests performed.
Below is a breakdown of staff and students who signed up to test, how many took the test, and vaccination percentages. I encourage everyone who signed up to take the test to do so as it helps keep everyone safe. If you have not signed up, please do so in your Unified Classroom Account under Forms by Wednesday to start your testing the following week.
***We have verified that the PCR tests that are provided are able to detect all known variants of COVID, including the new variant, Omicron.
***Please note: If your child did not complete the test at home, we will not be able to have them test at school. Please be sure to administer the test either the night before or in the morning before they go to school.
When you receive your report from O’hare Labs, the report is password protected. The password is your child’s Date of Birth in the following format: MMDDYYYY. Please only use numbers.
If your child submitted a test but you did not receive your results via email, please send an email to Results@ohareclinicallab.com and include your child’s First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth, and Test Date (11/30) in the email. The email is monitored frequently every day. Please read this e-notice for directions on how to administer the test and return it to the school.
Please be sure to maintain COVID mitigation strategies at home, including masking, washing hands, and maintaining a distance of six feet between people outside your home, especially while indoors.
Register Now for the Saturday Vaccine Clinic for Ages 5 to Adult
D103's next clinic is scheduled for Saturday, December 4, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Sprague School. First and second doses for Pfizer (ages 5 and above), Moderna (ages 18 and above) and a single dose for Johnson and Johnson (ages 18 and above) along with vaccine booster shots for adults will be available. To register for a vaccine, please click the link below:
Please note that the 8:00 a.m. time listed on the registration is the start time for the clinic, not your scheduled time to receive the vaccine. There are no assigned times. Drop-in anytime between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
The clinics are being organized by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH). The clinic is not exclusive to D103 schools and families, and we will have walk-ins from our community. Because we do not run the clinic, we cannot guarantee a time slot. Therefore, we will not have scheduled times for this clinic. Please note that the busiest times at the last clinic were between 8:00-10:00 a.m., with a 2 hour wait time. People who arrived after 11:00 a.m. had no more than a 25-minute wait. Individuals who arrived after 1:00 p.m. had almost no wait at all. Please be prepared to wait in line if you arrive in the morning.
