As we wrap up the quarter, we look forward to celebrating our student leaders in Character & Academics. Leadership & Honor Roll assemblies will take place at the end of this month.

Leader In Me

Written by: Trenton Brandau

Habit 4 — Think Win-Win: Everyone Can Win: I balance courage for getting what I want with consideration for what others want. I make deposits in others’ Emotional Bank Accounts. When conflicts arise, I look for third alternatives.

Ask this...

  • Could you help someone by doing good to them or find ways you can both win?

Try This...

  • I show consideration for others.
  • I don’t put others down to get what I want.
  • When a conflict arises, I find solutions to help both people.

From the Counselor (aka Mrs. Ryan)

We are so excited to be starting new Social Emotional Cognitive Learning curriculum at Auxier. We are at the beginning stages of implementing a program called Second Step. Starting second quarter, teachers are going to begin implementing curriculum that promotes a respectful school climate by teaching in the areas of empathy, emotional management and problem solving. These lessons teach specific skills to help manage emotions and deal with difficult situations. Our goal is to support the social emotional well-being of students in order to improve educational outcomes and create a positive school environment. Although we are in the planning stages, we are so excited for the impact it will have at Auxier!

Also, a special thank you to all the parent volunteers who helped make Biztown a success.
