The Inside Look
News from Cullman County Schools
Superintendent's Message
I hope everyone's summer is off to a great start. It is definitely an understatement to say this past school year was challenging, but we made it. Cullman County Schools was able to have more face-to-face instruction than most school districts in the state. We are very thankful for that, and it was only possible by the combined efforts of our families and all of our faculty and staff following the protocols that were put in place.
Our summer reading camps are in full swing throughout the district and there are many improvement projects happening on every campus as well. We are really excited about the good things happening all over Cullman County Schools!
Summer Reading Camps
Summer Reading Camps are underway at our elementary schools. The state-funded program is designed to provide instruction to accelerate reading achievement in Grades K-3. The program continues until July 2.
Nuts and Bolts Symposium
We had a great time at the Nuts and Bolts Symposium. Almost 300 Cullman County teachers and administrators participated in a two-day professional development training that is like no other! Thanks to Good Hope High School for hosting this year's event.
GoGuardian Training
Cullman County Schools has invested in technology to keep students safe and focused in the classroom while using technology. Teachers can’t always see what students are doing behind their screens. GoGuardian Teacher allows educators to know what students are doing on their devices and whether they are off-task or need help. Online distractions are a frustrating part of incorporating technology in the classroom. By using automatic alerts and powerful commands, teachers can quickly and easily get students back on-task with GoGuardian teacher.

Look at all of these buses...
Ever wonder where all of the school buses go in the summer? This is the Cullman County School Bus Garage, where every bus is serviced, washed, and inspected prior to hitting the road this fall. We appreciate the hard work our bus mechanics and shop assistants do every day!
