Hopewell and Bridgepoint Academies will integrate and provide transitional, academic, and therapeutic services to special needs students in a safe, nurturing, and predictable environment to ensure the positive, long-term growth of the students' academic and emotional lives.
Traveling World Of Reptiles
Hopewell had an assembly with The Traveling World of Reptiles, an up-close, live, and extremely interactive or "hands on" experience about reptiles and amphibians from around the world. The presentation helped to dispel many of the myths surrounding these animals as well as educate the audience as to why they're necessary and beneficial to the environment. Students were able to see, touch, and learn about reptiles from all over the world.
Culinary Class and Servsafe Certification
The State of Illinois requires all high school graduates to complete the FASFA application as a graduation requirement. If you are a senior and are graduating in May please complete the application online or if you do not want to complete the application please sign the provision waiver allowing a student to opt out. If you have any questions please contact Diane Hindman at 815-463-9655 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Students created thankful trees as fun and festive decorations for the Thanksgiving holiday. They decorated the trees with paper leaves on which they wrote notes about things they are thankful for, or what they appreciate in their lives.
Feed My Starving Children
Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to seeing every child whole in body and spirit. FMSC believes hope starts with food and they strive to provide meals for hungry children across the globe. Hopewell Academy transition students volunteered at FMSC in Aurora. They hand-packed rice, soy, dried vegetables and a nutritionally complete blend of vitamins and minerals into bags, sealed and packed for shipment.
