Sunday Night Series

This past Sunday Ed Jubb kicked off our new series for Sunday Nights called Dwell. It is a four week series in which we will explore the nature of dwelling in Christ and allowing the Word of God to penetrate our hearts deeply.

This Sunday we will be looking at how Christ desires to radically affect and fill our lives. For those who might want to read ahead, I will be using Colossians 3:16-17!!!!!

Electronic Addiction

I came across an interesting article over the week and I wanted to share it with you, the link is down below. I find my own self more and more glued to the screen of whatever electronic device happens to be in my hands. Reading this article I found myself wondering how I might respond in a world without the internet or my phone close at hand. I would like to think that I would respond with some sort of ease but in all honestly I think I might panic. I am so used to being reachable, to looking on my phone for the answer, and yet the Bible is clear that God aloe is our answer. Technology is good and can be used in many great ways but it can also be a hinderance, not only socially but spiritually. I encourage you, and myself, to take some time this week and put down the phones, tablets, and remotes that dominate our lives and look into the eyes of those we care about. Reconnect physically and emotionally with those you care about
