13 Reasons Why Season 2 - What You Need To Know
Thirteen Reasons Why Season 2 will be released on May 18th. Season 1 generated a lot of concern from parents, schools and community based mental health providers. Many students are looking forward to the release of Season 2 which will again deal with difficult subjects ranging from suicide, bullying, and sexual assault. Take a minute to read the letter below that will prepare you for how to have a conversation with your child about this series. Also, did you know that Netflix will allow parents to use a pin to block access of the series? Details on how to activate a pin can be found in the letter below.

Junior Meetings
Juniors - Work On Your College Essay Now. You Will Thank Yourself Later
On Monday, June 4th 3:00-4:00, the Writing Center is hosting Andrea Nadler, Hofstra University's Associate Dean of Admissions. She will be introducing the College Essay to juniors interested in beginning their essays over the summer.
On Tuesday, June 5th (time TBD) the Writing Center teachers will be running a College Essay Workshop to help the students get pen to paper. Both events will be located in the HS library.
