Each student is asked to bring one adult (parent, grandparent, aunt, uncle) to accompany them for a light breakfast! It is a great time for parents/guardians to spend time with their child and meet their child's classmates and other parents. This event is sponsored by our PTO. We hope you can make it!
Please park in the parking lot north of the school off of Elm Street where the recycling bins are located.
Share the Love of Reading Book Drive, A Smashing Success
Hello! As you probably know, the 4th graders have been doing a book drive over the past few weeks called “Share the Love of Reading.” In the two weeks, we are proud to say that we have collected 1,706 books. The goal for the book drive was 800 books. Longfellow Lions more than doubled that! This week, the 4th graders got letters from the students at Madison. They told us what books they were interested in. So we wrote them back and we sorted the books based on what the students liked. We then made bundles of books for each student. We will be going to Madison Elementary on Friday to deliver the books to the students. We thank you for helping us Share the Love of Reading.
Sincerely,
Mathia and Greta
