Silver Creek Weekly Newsletter
September 12-September 16
Dear Silver Creek Families
We have had two great weeks of school and students are now settling in to their routine. We look forward to another great week of school. Our Back to School Night (BTSN) is fast approaching, and is scheduled for Thursday, September 15. Please make sure to review the BTSN flyer below in the newsletter. We look forward to our families joining this very important evening. As a reminder, Wednesday, September 14 is an early release day for students. See the early release schedule below.
In the newsletter, the section with an * has been updated with new information OR is a new section in the newsletter. Please make sure to review. As always, thank you for your continued partnership.
Let's make it a great week Huskies!
*Reminder to Families about Traffic Flow
As a reminder, we are asking our Silver Creek Families to please be mindful of the traffic pattern as you exit the school during drop off and pick up times. There is no left turn when exiting the school property onto Saul road during the hours of 7AM-4PM.
We ask that drivers please respect the signage for the safety of our students and other pedestrians. The no left turn was established by MCPS and the County Department of Transportation to establish a safer traffic pattern for students; turning left from the school driveway endangers students walking and riding bikes along the roadways and crossing the street at the nearby crosswalk. Thank you so much for your cooperation.
*Save the Date: Back to School Night- This Thursday, September 15, 2022!
Back to School Night is an opportunity for parents to meet their child's teachers, hear about class expectations, learn more about the curriculum, and to foster a partnership for communication throughout the school year.
Please see flyer for additional details. We look forward to seeing our families on Thursday, September 15, 2022.
