Pennies for Patients Begins April 4
Since 1994, millions of dollars have been raised in pennies and other spare change by more than 10 million elementary, middle and high school students throughout the country.
The funds collected during Shull's Service Learning Project, "Pennies for Patients," will benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Everyone who participates is a winner! The class collecting the most change receives a pizza party.
Students will receive their own coin collection "box" and will take the box home and back to school daily. Our school wide goal is to raise $500 to donate to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. That's only $100 per grade level in coins! Watch for Pennies for Patients information to come home Monday, April 4, from Miss Madras.
