The Hungate Echo
Sherburn Hungate Weekly News - Autumn Term 2 - Issue 7
A word from Mr Broom.
We seem to have had nothing but things to celebrate this week. Our Early Years and KS1 nativities were a real spectacle and I for one, thoroughly enjoyed them. You know Christmas is upon us when the nativity's begin! Our Y5/6 children also created their own Art Exhibition on Wednesday with members of the public bidding for what can only be described as sensational art work.
Meanwhile in school, our teachers have been working hard with our new tracking and assessment system and we have our first round of progress meetings next week. I'm really looking forward to seeing how much progress our children have made. I get the impression I'm going to be amazed!

Attendance
Congratulations to our Year 5 children who are our attendance champions in school this week with 96.7%.
As you can see below, our attendance in some classes is above the national average which is fantastic. Thank you for your support on this.
The overall attendance this week is 93.3% and is below national averages. Many of our children have had illness this week but I'm hoping we will bounce back for our final week.
