Week of August 20th-24th
First Week Down!
We did it! Last Friday I wasn't so sure, but WE ALL pulled together as a TEAM and not only made it happen but we did it seamlessly. I can't say thank you enough to everyone! It makes my heart happy to see people come together and work to make this the best place for kids! You are all super hero's in my book! Please read through this letter as there are important pieces of information as well as important dates coming up!
Water Samples Information
Staff Please put the following information in your newsletters that you send home. This is just a statement that we are required to communicate to parents. Thanks!
Safety Info
Officer Koontz and I recently took down all fire and tornado maps and replace them with new maps. We also add a map to indicate where AED's are located in the building. Please let us know if you find an area that may need a map. These areas would be any room that kids occupy during the day. Below are a couple of reminders to think about to help keep CNP the safest we can.
- If kids are in your room the doors should be locked
- If kids or yourself are not in your room please turn out the lights and shut the door
- Please do not prop doors open
- Do not leave students unattended in your room. If you need to leave your room call the office and we'll send someone to cover for you.
- At the end of the day please lower your blinds and turn them so people from the outside can't see in
Curriculum Needs
- Raz-Kidz aka (Reading A-Z) should be up and running soon. Please try to log into your account. If you don't have one let me know and I'll get you set up.
- K-1 teachers Math seeds and Reading Eggs have been ordered.
- 2nd grade IXL has been ordered
- Studies Weekly is ready to go. I have email instructions that I will share with you as soon as I can make sure they are correct.
Fundraiser Changes
In the past CNE (Albion) and CNP (Wolf Lake) have done separate fundraisers and had to compete with each other on when to sell and what they were selling. We are going to try something different this year along side our PTO's. We will all be selling Rise and Roll (Amish Crack) at the same time this fall and then possibly selling pickles in the spring. This is in an effort to try to have families only have to worry about selling items once in the fall and not twice if they have students in both buildings. We will see how this year goes and re-evaluate at the end of the year.

The Race
The video below explains well the situations lots of our students are in. They are starting life behind. They have a race that they have to run that many others (most of us included) will never have to run. It breaks my heart and I frequently cry and pray many weekends about the terrible situations our students have to spend the weekend in. Before we quickly judge students on their behaviors or lack of responsibilities let's build relationships with them. For a lot of our kiddos this is the only place they are safe, told that they are loved, get a hug, or told they are smart. Let's make this the BEST five days of their week EVERY week day in and day out!
