Electives Update Grade 9-12 (Deadline extended to Friday, September 11th at 3:00 P.M.)

Thank you so much for your patience and understanding as the Distance Learning Academy and High School elective teachers create a comprehensive online course offering for your student. The Google Form linked HERE, is for students in grades 9-12. Please follow the directions and complete by Friday, September 11th at 3:00 P.M. The Distance Learning Academy administrative office will process the requests. We are striving to complete the process as soon as possible and hope to have the electives in their schedules during the week of September 14th.

**The technical issues within the Google Form have been resolved. We apologize for the inconvenience.

DLA students should be working in their core classes and possibly working ahead in those subjects until the elective courses appear in their schedules.

Electives Update Grades 6-8

Students in grades 6-8 will also have the opportunity to participate in electives virtual. In order to provide continuity of services between the Middle School and the Distance Learning Academy, we will be offering and assigning the following electives.

  • Art

  • Music Appreciation

  • Physical Education

  • Health

The Distance Learning Academy staff continuously monitors student growth and strives for all students to be challenged so that they can reach their full potential. Teachers may add enrichment activities and or additional elective extensions during the school year so that all students reach their full potential.

Bumps in the Road

Thank you so much for attending our Question and Answer sessions. Please know that we are processing requests and returning questions as fast as we can. We are also very excited about our recent increase in enrollment in our Distance Learning Academy and are processing the enrollments as quickly as possible so that students have access to their courses.

Over the next week students, families, and staff will adjust to the new normal and work out any issues that families are experiencing. We are here to help and partner with you and apologize if we have not returned your messages in a timely manner.
