Congratulations to our Valle Verde Retirees!
Please join me in congratulating Mrs. Barb Andrews, Ms. Lydia Fedotoff, Mrs. Debbi LaDue, Mrs. Denise Swimme and Ms. Lynette Rollick on their retirement! I understand that we are congratulating the very best of the best in Mount Diablo Unified School District! They represent a seasoned team of Valle Verde's finest. Mrs. Andrews, Ms. Fedotoff, Mrs. LaDue, Mrs. Swimme and Ms. Rollick have consistently demonstrated what true dedication to our students should look like. They devoted their time and resources to develop positive learning outcomes for students. I have observed this group of ladies establish relationships, build connections with our families, work countless hours to enrich student learning and maintain a positive school culture at Valle Verde Elementary. They have been a part of our school community that includes hands on teaching and distance learning. Mrs. Andrews, Ms. Fedotoff, Ms. LaDue, Mrs. Swimme and Ms. Rollick, we are forever grateful for your commitment of service in the Valle Verde community of learners! Enjoy your retirement!
Although we would like the opportunity to celebrate with more elaborate plans at a later date, we have planned a parade that allows for social distancing. Please join us as we will celebrate their retirement with a Drive Through Parade at Valle Verde Elementary in the bus circle on June 18, 2020 at 1:00pm- 3:00pm. We would love to see you all at the parade! Let's show our fabulous staff that is retiring just how much we love them!
Summer Permits for Valle Verde Elementary
Valle Verde Elementary/MDUSD has approved permits during the summer break. As the county lifts some of the shelter in place restrictions, we will begin to see more activity on the campus. I have to tell you that it has been pleasant to see students on the campus at Children’s Center Summer Program. We also anticipate soccer practice during the week and on Saturdays as the summer programs are approved.
Calvary Chapel will also resume services on June 21, 2020. They have held services at Valle Verde since 2016. Calvary Chapel will hold Sunday service outside on the blacktop/playground from 9:00am-10:00am. As a community it is important to note that their permit is from 7:00am-11:00am. Calvary Chapel is working with our M&O department to keep the space sanitized and implement social distancing practices during the service. Thank you for your support to welcome Calvary Chapel back to the Valle Verde Community!
