Have a wonderful week!

Our plans for the week...
HERE WE GO – THE LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL!!!
Thank you for sharing your children with us this school year. We’ve enjoyed having them in our classes and watching them grow! We hope everyone has a great week ahead and an INCREDIBLY AWESOME SUMMER! :)
We will be sending home notebooks, folders, and other school supplies over the next couple of days as we clean out our desks and totes. The Wednesday Folder will NOT need to be returned on Thursday.
Our end-of-year class party will be held on Wednesday, May 25th from 12:45-1:30.
Reading & Social Studies:
Students will have the opportunity to create a slideshow to represent what they have learned and explore technology while displaying their knowledge of the subject they have researched.
Writing:
As we are wrapping up the year we will have the opportunity to explore fiction writing. Students will create characters and select a setting for their story. They will then create a problem for their main character(s) to explore. I hope this gives them a little fun at the end of the year.
We'll continue to spiral grammar skills and give many opportunities to practice using these skills in our writing.
Math:
We will be working to “Step Up to 4th Grade” by using the standard algorithms to solve problems involving addition and subtraction problems with 3-digit numbers as well as problems involving 2-digit by 1-digit multiplication. If time permits, we will also begin learning how to determine the products of two 2-digit numbers using various strategies (area models, expanded algorithms/partial products, and the standard algorithm).
We will also be working on various End-of-Year activities and memory books throughout the week.
