Welcome Back to In-Person Learning
Procedures and Protocols for South Park School
Welcome Back, South Park!
Dropping Off on Tuesday, January 19th
- Since students must bring their material bin on their first day back, caregivers may want to park and walk their child to their assigned grade level door on Tuesday. Caregivers must wear a mask and respect social-distancing protocols. We encourage as many children as possible to carry their own bin into school without an adult so that we can minimize the number of adults gatherings outside of our school.
- By Wednesday, we ask all caregivers to drop off their children at our designated locations (shown below) without getting out of their vehicle or walking onto school grounds.
Certification Forms
Please plan to complete the certification process for each of your children who attends South Park by 7:45 a.m. each day for AM students and 9:00 a.m. for PM students. This will be emailed out by 6:00 a.m. each morning.

FAQ - Arrival/Dismissal for Families with Children in Different Grade Levels
Drop-Off:
- Either drop-off your children separately in the circle drive and Rosewood or drop off your children in the front circle and ask your older child to walk around the perimeter of the school. Students will only be permitted to enter the school through their grade level door so that we can ensure that all children have been certified.
- To alleviate congestion in the front circle, we are asking that the circle drive be used for kindergarten and 1st-grade students ONLY. If you have a 4th or 5th-grade child as well as a younger child, they will need to be picked up at separate locations.
- Why can't my older child walk over to the circle drive? To limit the number of people gathering in the circle and to keep traffic moving, we cannot have cars in the circle waiting for their older children to arrive.
What if I have a 2nd/3rd grade child and a 4th/5th grader?
Drop-Off
- 4th/5th graders with younger siblings in 2nd/3rd grade may be dropped off at either location (Rosewood or Hackberry/Kenmore), however, students will only be permitted to enter the building through their grade level door to ensure that they have been certified.
- We encourage the 2nd/3rd graders with older siblings to walk around the school to be picked up on Rosewood with older siblings because there is more space on Rosewood.
- Parents will be encouraged to stay in their vehicle to keep the car line moving west on Rosewood.
What if I have a child in all three grade bands (K/1, 2/3, 4/5)?
Drop-Off
- All children can be dropped off in the front circle but older siblings will need to walk around the building to enter the school through their designated door.
- Parents can also drive and drop students at multiple drop-off points near each grade level door.
- Children in grades 2-5 can be picked up on Rosewood. Children in grades K-1 can only be picked up in the front circle. We apologize for the double pick-up location for parents of students in both age groups, but it is necessary for us to keep traffic moving in our very tight front circle.
