NAACP Parents' Council
At our last meeting, we discussed the NAACP-PC's December and January meetings. Please see the overview of meeting highlights below.
The next NAACP - PC meeting will be held February 17 at 6:30pm. Please use this link to register. Dr. McKnight, the Deputy Superintendent, will be providing updates on the return to school. Even if you are unable to attend, you may submit questions for Dr. McKnight here.
The NAACP-PC is primarily aimed towards minorities, but all ethnicities are welcome. The council works in the areas of parent advocacy, training, navigating the system, etc. Additionally, NAACP-PC works with Identity (for Latino youth) via the Black & Brown Coalition to attend Board of Education and budget meetings and advocate for equity for our students.
