Welcome Back Letter from Admin

We are excited to welcome all of our families, those that are old and new, to the 2021-2022 school year. We know you are ready to get back to the school so the LEARNING can begin. We are excited to have students back in our classrooms and hallways filling them with energy and enthusiasm for learning. This year we are also welcoming two Assistant Principals, Andrea Sandles and Heidi Smith, they both come to us with a wealth of leadership experience and knowledge from other Alief campuses. "We are honored to be a part of a community where parents, teachers and students care for each other and strive to build positive relationships that support academic and social growth."

2021-2022 School Supply Lists

Our school supply list for the 21-22 school year has been thoroughly reviewed and adjusted as needed to ensure we are only requiring the most necessary supplies from our students. Please view the school supply attachment to see what your child will need for the upcoming school year.


We will NOT be using backpacks again this year. Students may bring a lunch kit. Please make sure student full names (first and last names) are written clearly on each part of their lunch kit and water bottles.

Free & Reduced Meal Application

As with every year, parents will have to complete an application for free/reduced meals. Your qualification assists the schools with additional federal and local funds that go towards instructional resources and staffing. Your qualification also impacts the campus accountability rating calculations. The online application can be found by clicking on the link below:

Online Registration

Online Enrollment for PK to 8th-grade students who have never attended Alief Independent School District is open.

Please proceed to the following instructions on how to enroll online.

STEPS TO REGISTER

1. Complete the registration link above. This process may be done from any computer or hand-held device.

2. Complete a registration form for each student.

3. You will receive an email with the following steps once you have completed the online registration.


NEW STUDENT REGISTRATION - DOCUMENT UPLOADS

For students who are new to Alief ISD and students who are returning to Alief ISD but did not attend Alief ISD schools last school year, as a part of the registration, you will be asked to upload the following documentation to the digital form:

· Student's birth certificate

· Student's immunization records

· Deed/Lease

· Most recent utility bill and/or bank statement

· Student's Social Security Card

· Parent's photo ID

· Student's most recent report card

· Additional Documents for incoming Pre-Kindergarten students who are qualifying by income may include the last 3 months' pay stubs and/or last year's income tax statement from everyone in the household.


While parents/guardians will be able to submit the application without uploading the documents, we strongly recommend uploading the necessary documents within the online form so that the application will be processed quickly.


After submitting documents, the registrar will call families to make an appointment for them to come in.

Alief ISD is following the CDC guidelines and Governor Abbott's declarations. While we are excited to return to normal in-person instruction with all students and staff on campus, we highly recommend that all staff, students, and the Mustang community MASK UP upon entering the campus for the protection of others and themselves.
