Student Belongings
We will have student belonging pick up on Thursday, May 21st. This day will also be when students drop off library books, Chrombebooks, and any other school property/materials.
More details to come about the times and logistics of the day, but we can start by having you pack up your classrooms with student supplies and materials. You are welcome to start this on the open building times on Mondays if you wanted to get a jump start. There will also be time dedicated on May 20th for this to occur. Please don't communicate anything to parents about this date yet as we will have a district/building wide communication about this plan that will be tailored to the status of the stay at home order or social distancing protocols at that time.
Maureen has gotten HyVee to donate Brown Paper Grocery Bags. These will be delivered to your classrooms. Everyone should use these bags to make the pick up process efficient and organized.
Using a THICK, BLACK Marker, please label the TOP of the bag with the student's last name and first initial as indicated in the example below. This will help us quickly identify and locate the student materials at pick up time in May.
There will be signs with letters in the gym. We will have you place student bags in the designated areas alphabetically by last name. These signs will be placed in the gym beginning Monday, May 4th. When you are done with your student bags, you may begin placing them in the gym in their respective locations by student last time.
Items to include:
- personal materials and supplies in their desks, cubbies, mailboxes, ect.
- student headphones
- student work samples
- Spring pictures (will be in your mailboxes when they come in)
- Student Yearbooks (will be in your mailboxes when they come in)
- student gym shoes, water bottles, ect that were left in the classroom
- summer learning packets or materials (if you do these at your grade level)
- Awards from Awards Day (These will be placed in your mailboxes)
- Student Medications (These will be distributed later in may if students have them in the office)
- Other supplies and materials as needed
Specials teachers, please get any student materials to classroom teacher mailboxes or classrooms so that they can be included in student bags.

End of Year Checklist
I know it is early, but I also know many of you like to work at end of the year tasks at different paces. I have created our end of the year "Folders" all digitally this year. You can access the links in the image below or HERE
- Only K-5 teachers and special education teachers have access to the Class List Template.
- The student transition form ONLY needs to be completed at this point for students that you feel you need to share more information about that is not articulated in other areas.
The checklist and class lists are not DUE until MAY 20th.
Positive Office Referrals
We are still celebrating positive office referrals.
You are welcome to celebrate the successes of students at any point this year. You can do so by filling out this FORM or by simply sending me an email that details they're specific success or positive behavior. They will get to ring the bell, sign the wall and have a selfie taken to be displayed outside the office. In most cases, I also call home to share the good news with their parents.
Maintenance Requests
This helps George, Nancy, and Tom Grimm track building and district requests.
You can ask verbally for a request, but also be sure to send the email. It can be as simple as "Please move desk to stage in my classroom" or "Air Conditioning is leaking."
