Teacher Survey
Teacher Surveys for School Report Card
- WHO | Every certified teacher in our school
- WHAT | Annual Teacher Opinion Survey for the state
- WHEN | The survey must be completed by Friday, May 14.
- HOW | Login into http://ed.sc.gov; Look under section called “Hot Topics”'; School ID NEEDED: 4604051
- WHY | The Education Accountability Act of 1998 specifies that “school report cards should include information in such areas as…evaluations of the school by parents, teachers, and students.” Student, teacher, and parent opinion surveys have been designed to measure perceptions of three factors: home and school relations, the school’s learning environment, and the school’s social and physical environment. Results provide valuable information to principals, teachers, parents, School Improvement Councils, and community groups in their efforts to identify areas for improvement. Results also appear on the annual school report cards.
Grade Level Changes
If you have a desire to make a change in grade levels next year, please express your interest to Matthew or Kristin in person. If a decision is made about a change, each individual will receive personal communication.
Wednesday Family Meeting
Certified staff will be meeting as a family on Wednesday at 2:05. Our meeting will be In Person and we will gather in the cafeteria. Each individual is asked to wear a face covering and to sit at separate tables to accommodate social distancing. I look forward to our time together.
Rock Hill Commute
If you live south of Fort Mill and travel to work on I-77, please be mindful of the delays you may incur due to a construction project. If you feel it is best to arrive early to avoid the traffic, please let me know so we can make arrangements. Furthermore, be prepared to have a plan for class coverage should you be late. See this link for more details about the project.
Dismissal Reminders
Thank you for your support as you help remind all students about the proper dismissal procedures each day:
- Students should exit each classroom orderly and quietly
- Students should walk on the assigned side of the hallway
- No running, pushing, shoving or passing other students
CrisisGo
CrisisGo is a vital tool that facilitates notification, communication, response actions, and accountability during an emergency. Please take a moment to log into your CrisisGo account on your desktop computer to ensure you are receiving any notifications. Your username should be your fortmillschools.org email and password is 123 (unless you have chosen to change it in the past.) If you have any issues, please reach out to Kristin ASAP.
Upcoming Tornado Drill
We will be conducting our annual tornado drill next Friday, May 14th. An announcement will be made prior to the start of the drill with specific instructions. Please note:
- Teachers will be given flexibility to conduct the drill within a window of time like we have been doing with fire drills.
- Students should practice moving to the hallway and drop and tuck (heads facing the wall). Please stay within your family pod and practice in the space directly outside your classroom. Feel free to reference these slides as you prepare your students.
- Document your participation in the drill using this form by the end of the day.
Field Day
Ryan has developed a schedule that will allow each grade level to have a fun field day experience while teachers will be afforded some time for professional learning and long range planning. Related Arts teachers will provide coverage and supervision on each day. As a result, each of the following days will be NO color days for related arts; however, related arts teachers will provide recess duty for each grade level each day as well. More details to come...
