An Officers Life
imagine feeling like every kiss goodbye to your loved ones each day might your be your last kiss. Police officers and there families feel this way every single day. Every morning when police officers put on their badge they know theirs a chance they might not come home that night. Although police officers risk their lifes daily, being a police officer is quite a thankless job. Not only are police officers often taken for granted many people are highly vocal about their dislike for cops.from what i seen most police officers are dedicated, hard working and conscientious. This field is difficult on mental, emotional, and physical levels. But, you also have to weigh out the fact that people may have prejudgments about you based on your uniform, and you face dangers when you encounter people who want to break the law or hurt you or others. The police officers need strength for us. They try hard everyday at work for our safety. As their job they need to pursue and arrest perpetrators, contain situations and ensure civilian safety. Witch may involve very dangerous situations. Police officers are sworn to protect and serve the communities in which they live and work, and they also obtain laws. Police officers may also work under intense strees physically and emotional situations.
When asked about Heroism.
We interviewed an officer and asked about heroism in the department and what he thinks of himself. We got that he does not consider himself as a hero, most likely because he has not been awarded with the title of “Hero” physically. Police officers are technically all heroes, due to the fact that they risk their lives everyday to save others. In a way, the officer we interviewed is very humble for not considering himself as a hero; when all officers play an essential role in the department. Police Officers are required in society because of all the crime and terrorism, or anything illegal that can potentially harm our citizens and our society.
