Message from the Principal
Dear OGMS Families,
In the beginning of this quarter we reviewed expectations by holding down the rules and having an assembly about our school-wide expectations to help support our students in making positive choices for themselves. Please consider choosing a day of the week when you and your child can review their Aeries Homelink portal together and also look into their Google Classrooms to see what work has been assigned or may be missing. Practicing good study habits will support this goal and be a benefit moving forward into the rest of their middle school, high school and beyond. 2023 is a fresh and new opportunity for success!
Due to recent non-stop rain which has caused such disruption in our lives this past week, it is is difficult for many of the students to resist the temptation of purposely jumping into puddles, NOT being sheltered from the downpour and unafraid of soaking their entire selves from top to bottom. Please remind your children that on rainy days to follow instructions as to where to seek shelter from the rain and to remember their behavior.
School is closed on Monday, January 16th in observance of Martin Luther King Jr.'s birthday. Please see today's newsletter is an invitation from MDUSD's African American Parent Advisory Council for a MLK Family Night at Riverview Middle School on Tues, Jan 17th. Have a wonderful weekend!
Sincerely,
Dr. Alejandro Ramos
