Kindness Squad

Our Kindness Peer Leaders have taken on a new initiative! These boys and girls have been helping our PTA deliver the Birthday Grams (with a special message each time) to the students whose families bought them. Thank you for all of your help and assistance!

Students are continuing to show kindness and respect on a daily basis. We look forward to recognizing these boys and girls on a weekly basis at the Week in Review. One small act of kindness can make a monumental difference in another person's day. We hope that we continue to see this each and every day.

Artists of the Month

Congratulations to the artists of the month for January. These students were chosen by Mrs. Finamore to represent our school! The students will have their work hung in the hallway for all the school to see. Congratulations again for all of your hard work and creativity!

The Nurse's Nook!

Cold weather can be a trigger for asthma. Other asthma triggers include exercise, allergens such as dust mites, pollen, or mold, pet dander, colds/flu, or odors such as perfume, cigarette smoke, or smoke from burning wood. If your child uses a rescue inhaler, please make sure the school nurse has one at school in case it is needed. Talk to your child’s doctor and update their Asthma Treatment Plan if needed. Please ensure the school nurse has an updated copy of your child’s Asthma Treatment Plan. A copy of this form can be found on the district webpage under the Parents tab, Health Services, and Health Forms.

Please call the nurse with any further questions at 732-269-2909, ext. 2005.

Reminder: Cell Phone Procedures

At BTES we have decided to create a user friendly cell phone rule. When students bring their phones to school, they should be set off and kept in their bookbag during the school day. When riding the bus, the students may use their phones for music ONLY! There should be no games, calling, texting, photographing, or video taping on the bus. While using their phones for music they MUST ALSO have an earbud in one ear, leaving the other ear open for messages or announcements.

If this rule is not followed, we will be forced to eliminate the use of all phones while on school property.

Thank you for your continued support.
