SuperKids
Update! Feb.2, 2017
Dear Parents,
Please know that I did not send Homework for them this week due to Student Appreciation Day that is tomorrow. I wanted them to have a a week of fun dress-up and just enjoy getting ready for each day's scheduled activities at school.
Next week we plan to continue with our regular schedule. We will be starting "Ettabetta"the SuperKid that loves to read!. We will be introducing the short sound of the letter Ee with this letterbook.
Please a reminder that we are beginning our all school "Read-a-thon." I would highly recommend participating in this event. It is a fun way to introduce the students to rhyming using Doctor Seuss storybooks. Of course you may read whatever books you desire and reread the same ones over and over. It is just that rhyming is an important element when learning to read. The Doctor Seuss books are a marvelous way of reading to your child and asking them to name words that rhyme as you read along. I suggest you check some books out from the library every weekend. The local libraries allow you to check out as many as 12 books at a time.
The "Read-a-Thon" information will be given out tomorrow at our Color Wars Assembly to end our Catholic Schools' Week events. If you have any questions regarding this fundraiser, just shoot me an email next week.
Remember to keep practicing those blending charts I sent home last week. It is crucial that you review them often. Thanks so much parents and have a wonderful weekend.
