Spring Break for District 196 Schools is March 22 - March 26!
Due to Spring Break there is no Meal Distribution on Wednesday, March 24. It will resume on Wednesday March 31.
ACT for Juniors, Class of 2022- Tuesday, March 30 and Pre-ACT for Sophomores, Class of 2023 - Wednesday, March 31
- March 29 - School resumes. Cohort A in person, Cohorts B and C all Zoom in for classes.
- March 30 ACT for all Juniors in person. All other students will have a Distance Learning Day in all classes. This is a school day for grades 9, 10 and 12- no in person.
- March 31 Pre-ACT for all sophomores in person. Wednesday is a school day for students in coursework as usual.
2021 BPA MN State Virtual State Leadership Conference
We wrapped up the 2021 BPA MN State Virtual State Leadership Conference this past Saturday and Eagan HS has four National Qualifiers!
Ankitha Kumar: 1st in Advanced Interview Skills.
Ibby Miyanoorwala: 1st in Business Law & Ethics and 2nd in Basic Office Systems & Procedures.
Sriram Nutulapati: 4th in JAVA.
Donald Thai: 4th in Personal Financial Management and 5th in Intermediate Word Processing.
In addition, Sriram Nutulapati was selected as one of two MN BPA students to run for a National Officer position – elections will take place at the National Conference.
The 2021 BPA National Leadership Conference is scheduled for May 5th-9th in Orlando, FL but will be held virtually this year (I told the students I can take them to Schulze Beach here in Eagan instead!)

Chess Tournament
Congratulations to EHS seniors Zack Post and Jacob Sandish for their individual results in the South Suburban Conference Chess tournament this weekend!
The top 7 players from each division receive a plaque or medal.
Zack placed 6th in the Gold Division and Jacob placed 3rd in the Silver Division.
We spent 9.5 hours on Zoom on a 60º Saturday; these players are hardcore!
(Seniors Sam Wendolek and Brad Fifield also put in the long hours on Saturday; they may not have placed in the standings, but deserve props and recognition!)

Congrats to our Speech and Debate Teams' students who have qualified in competition to represent our high school program at the National Speech and Debate High School Tournament in June of 2021. The tournament will be virtual this year. They qualified as follows:

This can be an anonymous report about a problem or unsafe behavior that needs to be dealt with at our school. All reports will be dealt with promptly by EHS adult leaders who are immediately notified.

Spring Trimester 2021 Student Parking Information
Attention Juniors and Seniors! If you will be attending EHS Spring Trimester under hybrid learning in either cohort A or B and plan to park in the student lot you will need a parking permit. There are still parking permits left so please go to MyPaymentsPlus and secure your parking permit for $32.
Spring trimester parking permits will be available for pick-up in the Principals' Office.
Google Meet
Looking to collaborate with your peers but not sure how now that you can’t host Zoom meetings anymore? Try Google Meet! All students have access, it’s easy to use and you can invite any other EHS students to your meeting. It’s available on iPad, Mac and Windows for free.
Books and Needed Materials Pick Up or Drop Off at EHS, Remains Open and Available
We have a large supply of school supplies and would be pleased to provide them for any student or family. Please let us know if a student needs to pick up a book, textbook or other items so that we can provide it for them. Call 651-683-6900. Additionally, the offices are open each school day and students may come into the building for assistance. Masks are required at all times in the building.
