1. Review the new Ellevation documents in the ESOL Procedures Manual
2. Double check your ELPs and Parent Letters
3. Adjust or add anything as needed
Workshop #2: Benchmarking Rubrics for Oral and Written Benchmarking
1. Review process of oral and written benchmarking for ELs
2. Review the rubrics in the folders in the Home Base > ESOL MTSS > Oral Rubrics and Writing Rubrics, on your table, and from OELPA
3. Recommend as a group which rubric you hope to use for oral and writing benchmarking this year.
Workshop #3: Summer Book Study: Seven Steps to Separating Difference from Disability
1. Allow the people in your group who participated in the book study to share a summary.
2. Ask questions
3. Allow the people in your group to share their end of course reflections and how they want to use the information they learned.
4. Reflect as a group about challenges and goals for working with this topic.
5. Generate questions to ask any of the following people: Special Ed. Supervisor, Pupil Services Director, Speech and Langauge Pathologist, Assistant Principal, School Psych, Social Worker, etc.
Workshop #4: Advocacy Plans
1. Fill in any new teachers in your group or those who did not make plans last year about these Advocacy Plans.
2. Review any existing plans (click here) even if they are not your own.
3. Create (if you are in a different group share it with your building colleagues) and begin to determine if you will have the same goals or new goals for the 19-20 school year. Add these to the Building Framework Folder.

A fun time for us to hang out, eat good food, get to know each other and our families. Please bring a dish to share and BYOB. Bring a chair if needed. Kids and significant others welcome!
