Big picture

Student Chest Drive

This previous Monday, we began our Student Chest Drive and we are officially halfway through! The drive helps to raise money for the Foundation for VPS, which supports students district-wide who are in need. Our theme this year is “Above and Beyond”. As a school, we have set a fundraising goal of $500, and an “above and beyond” goal of $750. Today your student will be coming home with an envelope for donations, and they may return the envelope either tomorrow or Friday. The last day of the drive is this Friday, November 18th and we are working hard to reach our goal. Please consider donating, every little bit helps!

Parent Helper Crew

Do you have time to volunteer to prepare materials for student classroom projects & instruction? You are invited to come to the Family-Community Resource Center at Ogden Elementary on Wednesday, November 30th at 9:30 – 10:30am to help out teachers and staff! There will be a variety of projects such as items to cut out, paste, staple, assemble, and color! This will be a small group and space is limited, so please contact Lori Weedman, Family-Community Resource Coordinator (FCRC) at Lori.weedman@vansd.org, office 360-313-2546 or text/call cell 360-839-1057 if you would like to participate in this event sponsored by FCRC & PTA (Parent & Teacher Association).

Lost & Found Coats and Other Items

The school Lost & Found coat rack area is very full of coats, sweaters, hats, lunch boxes, etc. Please remind your student to look for their missing item in the Lost & Found area SOON. Any items remaining after Thanksgiving Break will be donated by December 2nd.
