April 13-14: Two-hour early release: Parent conferences

We have had an increased number of kindergarten and first grade families entering the pick-up line before 2:40, which makes it difficult to efficiently dismiss our preschool students. As a reminder, only vehicles with a purple pick-up card should be in the south parking lot pick-up lane before 2:40. We will have additional signage and enforcement later this week.

The district has the opportunity for our families to participate in a Love and Logic course. The course is free for parents to attend. It is a 5 week series. Participants will meet once a week starting April 17th.

VPS parents and community members are invited to join a listening session hosted by The Healthy Youth Violence Intervention and Prevention Group (HYVIP) to discuss youth violence in our community. The work HYVIP is doing to understand and address issues directly related to youth violence may result in possible funds to bolster and increase support for our most vulnerable and disenfranchised communities. These listening session opportunities provide a safe and supportive environment for our families to share what their experiences and hopes are in addressing youth violence in our community. Below is more Information about the two sessions, a link to register and attached are flyers to share within your school communities (Available in English, Chuukese, Russian, Spanish, and Ukrainian).
